Shakil Ahmed is the Founding director of Media Fact and Chief Editor of Check Fact. From scratch to air leaded four newsroom of successful TV network in Bangladesh! Many ground breaking report or shows in national or international reached millions; received first transparency international award as recognition of investigative journalism. In early career become fellow and nominated as Honorary Ambassador for South Asia of Radio Netherlands training center. Currently founding member secretary of the Board of Trustee of the Broadcast Journalist Center (BJC). which is the first organization for TV and radio journalist of Bangladesh; got 1800 active members trying to change media landscape and upgrade professional skills. Media training is a passion; become resource person for many national and international organizations including press institute of Bangladesh and recently with BBC Media action for the year 2021! The Journey begins in 2001 with first terrestrial network of the country -ETV prior to Prothom Alo and Muktakantha two newsprint as beginner!

Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun is the director of Media Fact. He is a highly skilled and result-oriented professional with solid academic background holding a Master degree from Jahangirnagar University. He gained experience in AML/CFT related issues through his career. He participated and arranged a number of trainings, seminars, webinars, workshops in domestic and international premises.

Mohammad Sikandar Abu Zafar is the Deputy Editor of Check Fact. Along with Founding Editor, he also leads the editorial fact-checkers team. With vast experience and training his specialization includes spotting & debunking misinformation, digital journalism, writing, editing, research and organization development. He has completed his graduation from Dept. of Archaeology of Jahangirnagar University.

Maruf Rosul

Head Researcher

Maruf Rosul is the Head Researcher at Check Fact. He gathers the data and verifies them, and guides fact-checkers to complete a fact-checking report. He is conversant in archival research and lapping up the historical data-based narrative that fills the lacuna in cyberspace fact-check and challenges the idea of users's credence. His sleuthing experiences usher the cyber sphere audiences to scout the correct information and the narrative amongst the balderdash. It certainly builds up the acumen of the users. Maruf Rosul completed his study in physics at Dhaka University.
